Floodplain Restoration

The Upper Willamette Basin is known for outstanding water quality and steady flows due to its unique hydrogeology. It provides key habitat for threatened Willamette River fish species, and serves as a dinking water source for residents. Our basin is a hub for innovative programs and we work with many local organizations to protect water quality, restore and improve wildlife habitat, and reconnect the river to its floodplain.

Conservation and restoration on both public and privately owned lands is essential to providing the foundation from which ecological uplift in the entire Willamette River Basin can occur.
